course description

A four day retreat with Wayne Boucher is the perfect way to discover Wayne and how he creates his abstract world. Working with Wayne is a rare opportunity to enter into the methods and connections that he uses to express his spirit and the emotional world around him. He will help you begin your journey of discovering the essence of your emotional and spiritual landscape and translating it into abstraction. He will guide you through the techniques that will help you trust your instincts and sensibilities so that you can capture that translation in paint.

The objective of the workshop, through preliminary explorations and studies is to create a responsive dialogue between the artist and their paintings. The elements of a painting are edited, considered, and justified only if they are necessary to accomplish what the artist's expression and sensibility wish to signify.

The number of students attending the retreat is small to ensure each student has a full one on one relationship with Wayne.
