Fundraising Dinner Launched For Artists’ Fund

The unveiling of Parrsboro Creative’s highly-anticipated new website is the focus of a fundraising dinner taking place on June 29th at the town’s well-known Black Rock Bistro.  It’ll be the first of what’s to become an annual members’ dinner to support Parrsboro Creative’s Artist Attraction Program, which will be detailed on the new website.

Parrsboro Creative Board Chair Michael Fuller is expecting a full contingent of Parrsboro Creative’s community partners as well as business, municipal and provincial officials to be on hand as the website makes its official debut.

“It’s going to be a game-changer for Parrsboro Creative,” says Fuller.  “Our artists, artisans, community partners and the general public will be able to view everything from our workshops to our master level multi-day courses at a glance.  It’s the kind of website an art and culture booster like Parrsboro Creative should be expected to have, and we’re very excited.”

Parrsboro Creative currently has 8 collaborative partners whose art and cultural contributions are part of the unique fabric of Parrsboro and surrounding area.  Those partners are: The Cumberland Art Council, The Age of Sale Museum, Fundy Geological Museum, Arlene Collins Art Gallery, Art Lab and Studio, The Ship’s Company Theatre, The Hall and Ottawa House.

The June 29th dinner begins at 7pm and will feature mouth-watering appetizers, main dishes and desserts created by Master Chef Ashley Burton, who is donating her time and talent for the event.

Proceeds from the dinner will go towards the Artist Attraction Program that’s being designed to bring new artists and artisans to Parrsboro.   Tickets are $50 and include HST, but space is limited to 30 people.
